-Love begins in a Moment, Grows over Time, and lasts an Eternity –

The Bridal Consultants here at Golden Needle had the pleasure of helping this gorgeous bride in planning the day of her dreams to the man of her dreams! When Kelli came in for her bridal appointment she requested a private appointment and was accompanied by her lifelong bestie's. Kelli’s Consultant recalls, ” I remember when she put on (the one) this may sound extreme, but she literally looked straight out of a HOLLYWOOD MOVIE SET! The way the champagne dress brought out her hair and skin tone was FLAWLESS! She was GLOWNG and everyone in the room knew the hunt for the perfect dress was OVER!” Kelli is the sweetest person and truly has a heart of gold! When Kelli’s dress finally arrived it fit her like a glove! Kelli did not need one alteration, something that is virtually unheard of in the bridal world!

Kelli and her bridesmaids chose a bridesmaid dress from Christina Wu. The dress they chose can be tied in a multitude of ways! Which was perfect for her bridesmaids, especially for the bridesmaid that was 7 months pregnant at the time (P.S. Shout-Out to Kaley is for being the best friend EVER!). The Rose Gold Bodice with long Flowing blush tulle skirt fit perfectly with Kelli’s vision for her wedding and her color scheme! All the girls were able to create a unique look that suited their personality as well as their body type.

Kevin and his groomsmen chose a custom tailored charcoal suit, with blush ties for the groomsmen and ivory for the groom. Kevin had his dad Donald as his best man, how sweet! The two ring bearers; Easton and Brantley, both looked SO handsome!

We had the chance to chat with Kelli after her big day to ask her some questions so that we could know ALL about her special day!

*How did you meet?*

“Kevin and I have grown up together since we were kids. Our parents grew up together and I was friends with both of his sisters throughout our school years. Kevin played sports with my older brother so I had a school girl crush on him since I was a little girl. We ran in to each other 6 years ago for the first time in several years and began to date on and off for 3 years but always found our way back to each other. We finally threw in the towel and committed to each other after realizing how easy our relationship was. Dating your best friend is pretty fun!”

*How did he ask?*

“We welcomed a baby boy in to the world July 2nd, 2016 and Kevin proposed when I was wheeled down to see Brantley for the first time in the NICU. It was such a scary day (Brantley was 11 weeks early) but he made it even more special by proposing then.”

*We saw you and Kevin chose to pour paint on a canvas during your ceremony, what is that called? Why did you choose to incorporate that into your ceremony?*

“We own Painting with a Twist and I’ve always been an artist so I wanted to incorporate paint in our unity ceremony. We decided to do a pouring of the paint ceremony to unify our love. The painting turned out really pretty!”

*Who did your flowers? We are OBSESSED with them!*

“Our flower girl, Berkley is Kevin’s Daughter from a previous marriage. Her Grandmother, Fran Sessions (who is also our next door neighbor and favorite person) did all of my flowers! She is so talented!! I showed her all of my Pinterest boards that were filled with large bouquets of greenery and she came up with something so much better than I envisioned. I knew I wanted a large bouquet for a while.”

*Why did you pick your venue, What was on your menu?*

“Kevin has golfed since he was a kid and always loved the sport so we decided to get married on the golf course at The Country Club at Lake City. The venue was absolutely stunning! We were able to get ready at the venue and decorate the ball room the entire week of the wedding so the stress of rushing to get things done was taken off of me. The food was delicious! We had fresh garden salad, grilled chicken breast with a homestyle sauce, potatoes au gratin, seasoned green beans, and a dinner roll.”

*Your Cake looked AMAZING! What was the flavor?*

“Calista Goos catered our cakes, we had layers of red velvet, strawberry, and vanilla.”

*If you could relive any moment from your wedding what would it be?*

“I wish I could relive the entire wedding it went by SO fast! We had so much fun at our reception. The food was great and we were so happy to see all of our friends and family. Justin Lee Partin was our DJ and acoustic singer and performed our favorite song “In Case You Didn’t Know” by Brett Young. Dancing with Kevin with all of our loved ones there was so special.”

*What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?*

“Our sparkler exit is one of my favorite moments. Kevin decided to do cartwheels down the aisle and almost kicked me in the face! The pictures are hilarious and everyone got a huge laugh out of it. I also loved the memory ladder I set up in honor of our loved ones. My friend Lauren sung a beautiful song in dedication to my father who passed.”
